PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, INS Shivaji Lonavla was established in 1963 as one of the “Regimental Schools” in Defence Sector. The Vidyalaya is encompassed in a lush green campus of 14.5 Acres and is situated in the picturesque surroundings of INS Shivaji Naval Base which is about 8 km away from Lonavla Railway Station. Good environment is essential for imparting good education and we are fortunate enough that we are blessed with beautiful nature. PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Lonavla is enriched with a soothing atmosphere and clad with frequent and fragrant rains. Ours is a full-fledged Senior Secondary School from STD I to XII (Science & Commerce) and is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The medium of the instruction is bilingual i.e. English and Hindi. At present, the Vidyalaya is equipped with all the infrastructure to cater the needs of students as envisaged in NEP 2020. Further, recently the Vidyalaya has been shortlisted as one of the schools under PM SHRI Scheme. Under this scheme various efforts and initiatives are being undertaken to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities among students.
